How do I get better at Super Smash bros?

Ok, so I just recently brought a wii u as I didn't very much like the ps4. The wii u that I brought came with super smash bros and I am not really good. Any tips?.

  • Learn movement, shielding, edgeplay, and mix up your approaches.

  • First off, start to find your main; someone that you feel comfortable with. Then begin to play with CPUs that are in an appropiate level. Try to learn meteor smashes, aerials, edge-guarding, easy to do combos, etc. Hope it helps!

  • The best answer I can say is, "it depends". Mostly because I don't know anything about your playstyle at all, your mains, and so on and so forth.

  • As a starting point I suggest going to training with every character if possible. You're bound to find a few you like more than other characters.

  • 1.Get familiar with da roster 2.Find a Main 3.Get Familiar with most or all the stages 4.Either fight some CPUs in a level u feel comfortable with 5.Do stock matches (Most tourny rules 2 stock 5 min.) 6.Practice, Practice, and more Practice!!!!!!! Also have some fun here and there 7.Look up a tutorial on ur Main/s 8.Go to training mode and try it out 9.Try to use wut u've learned

  • This is basically most or everything u need to know to get gud in Smash………and a little extra. Also I made a mistake, it was 2 stock 6 minutes. Unless if u want 3 stock 8 minutes. It's just personal preference.
