The Greatest Of All Time's Funeral

I will never experience another day like this in my life ever again. I went to the Memorial for Muhammad Ali in Louisville, and words cannot even begin to describe it. The impact that Ali left behind was incredibly strong in that stadium-you could practically feel it floating in the air, surrounding everyone and everything. (more in comments)

    I shared a stadium with the 42nd President of the United States, the King of the country of Jordan, ambassadors, major religious leaders and dignitaries, the Ali family and friends, celebrities, and thousands of his most devoted fans. The speeches given were phenomenal, the personal stories both heart-warming and heartbreaking, the jokes hilarious...I was just stunned.

    (cont.) I participated in every part of the ceremony-heck, EVERYONE at the ceremony did. We all cheered, cried, laughed and clapped whenever we could-Ali means that much to us Louisville natives. People from ALL over the world were there, from ALL sorts of backgrounds. It didn't matter how different we were-we loved Ali and found inspiration in him. We all still do. We ALWAYS will.

    @Sophie Really! He's one of the Greatest people of all time, and he's certainly THE Greatest Boxer. It's almost impossible to forget someone that important!

    @Sophie 4 hours, to say the least, but well worth it. I've kept the tickets and the list of eulogy speakers, because there is NO WAY I'm forgetting this-it was too phenomenal. Muhammad Ali will always be our champion-and Louisville will always be there to honor him.
