No,they're not broken.

Cloud is not broken. He is a glass cannon with terrible recovery. Corrin is not broken. He has range, but lots of lag. Many moves of his can be shielded and punished. Bayonetta is no longer broken. Witch Time is almost useless now, her 0-to-deaths are harder to pull off, and you can easily avoid her combos by dodging or DIing! I will respond to comments tomorrow.

  • Mikao: Your right about Cloud and Witch Time, although now with Witch Time all you can do is just a quick combo and then it's back to real time. Unless, you're fast enough to do more. @Naruto: Yes, Mewtwo is. Yes, Cloud is. Kirby, Bayonetta, and maybe even Jigglypuff qualify for this category too.

  • @Patrick Yeah, I usually end up airdodging. If you still want to try DI then you can look up "DIing out of Bayo's combos" or something like that. There are quite a few videos talking about beating Bayonetta. I know ESAM has a video specifically about DIing out of Bayonetta's combos.

  • Well, I'd say the short time to use Witch Time is enough to send the enemy flying with a Smash, especially since these are usually very easy to read.

  • All of those other characters you listed are because they're light characters, meaning they'll launch farther at lower percentages. Cloud isn't light, he's average weight.

  • Miles Cloud is really safe on shield is what I'm saying. Auto cancel down air, side tilt, nair, back air, as well as they kill. Limit break makes him slightly heavier and gives him the ability to kill early, and whatever that girl said under my comment is completely wrong. Cloud can kill without limit.

  • @Elijah Yes, you're right. Cloud is safe on shield, He can kill early with Limit (although he'll need to rack up some damage), and he can kill without Limit. I wasn't trying to disagree with you (if that was what it looked like, I was giving a couple of options that can be used to beat Cloud (sort of).

  • Cloud's disadvantage is his grab range, g!mpable recovery, lack kill throws, and lack combo throws. His advantage is that he has really long range. Really good frame data for someone that has Ike's range. Safe on shield. Powerful knockback, speed, and limit. They need to decrease his kill power in most of his moves tbh, but Sakurai did say that Cloud should be an easy basic fighter.

  • I completely agree on all of those. I guess there does need to be an easy character to learn, especially in these types of games where you have to make/find combos.

  • @Naruto Sorry I missed your comment. Cloud still gets launched pretty easily but still does a lot of damage, glass cannon doesn't necessarily mean that they're the lightest of the light and do tons of damage.

  • Witch Time isn't useless at all. You can still kill at 60 with it and it is the best counter in the game.

  • I don't think Corrin Is broken But is placed way too high on tier lists, Bayonetta was broken but not anymore, but as for Cloud If ZeRo didn't Recently release That video on how to beat Cloud I Would never have any hope for the future of the competitive Sm4sh scene.
