Why do people want sequels that just reuse ideas from its predecessor more than games with original ideas? It is frustrating seeing all these posts asking for Galaxy 3 and Sunshine 2.

  • They wanna see more of a winning formula, I guess. They liked it the first time so they think they'd like it a second time. Sequels can stand out if they're innovative, but they're also a great way for a developer to lazily cash in on something. It can go either way.

  • I don't want to see Sunshine 2 (don't know why anyone really does. . .), and I don't want to see Galaxy 3, either. I'd prefer Galaxy 3 over a Sunshine 2 though, lmao. But if I had it my way, I'd go with something original once again, to shake things up! Same with the NSMB series. . . That garbage needs to end. The first DS and Wii one were alright, then after that, it's just getting ridiculous.

  • I'd take both sequels over 3D World M14

@Creo NSMBU is great but the aesthetic of the series is bleh @M A straight forward platformer like 3D World is superior to a collectathon. Galaxy 3 that is more linear than 2 would be fine but another Sunshine-esq slog would be a step back.
