Cloud's Future Involvement

I need some help, I love to play as Cloud in smash, however his appearance maybe temporary. Could Cloud end up being a Smash 4 and 5 exclusive, similar to Snake in Brawl? I hope not and with the possibility of FF7Remake on the NX, there may be hope that our limit breaier may return. What do you think? Will he return or be left behind?

    I honestly think that he'll be in Smash 5. Since literally EVERYONE is hype that he's in the game he would have to make a return. Especially as a default. And that goes for all the other DLC characters.

    Cloud has "copyright issues" written all over him. Your worry is justified in my opinion. Just enjoy him in this game and let's see what becomes of the Super Smash Bros. series in the future.

    @krossjosh: So does Mega Man and Bayonetta and Ryu yet I'm sure at least 2 of those will be returning in the next due to how much people like them (Bayonetta especially being the ballot winner).

    It's a tough call.They're expanding towards many Third Party Franchises,which could result in one of the 3rd party characters getting the chopping block. There is a very loyal Cloud fanbase though,so it would seem unlikely for Nintendo to cut out Cloud.He seems safe for future Smash installments,maybe even as a starter rather then DLC

    I honestly don't believe we'll see a smash 5. If another smash game is in the works then that's still a good 5 to 6 years before we see it.
