@BCH I have, and they did a good job, but usually when fans form an opinion, they stay that way through thick and thin. Which is why there's a lot of "I don't like Ocarina of Time" on the Zelda community, despite it being known as one of the best games ever.

To be fair, you probably shouldn't take much of anything the kids in the Zelda community say seriously.

At this point remakes are pretty much the definitive way to experience Zelda games. OoT and MM given a new coat of paint. WW had its two major flaws completly removed and looks great. and TP.... lets you actually be able to see things now.(and amiibo thats a thing to)

Oh I know. To be 100% honest, I don't take a lot of the Miiverse community users seriously, though. Especially a lot of this one (not all, mind you).

You see, I know most people are rejoicing over these awesome remake designs, but I enjoyed the feeling that the original 64 games had. I liked that the Great Sea was so massive feeling. And I liked that Twilight Princess had a more sinister feeling to it. It's part of the atmosphere in those games that you enjoy as a Zelda fan.

as someone who has played both Wind Waker's the great sea hasn't changed at all the the mode of transportation has with the swift sail helping you get around better. AND NO ONE can tell me triforce shard hunting was better pre-remake. TP is purley up to opinion but I like a cleare view witch I feal helps the non twilight world sections of the game.

Yea, I've played all of the remakes and I get it, I just enjoyed that "WOW this ocean is huge and these things I'm trying to find have been underwater for centuries" feeling. However, I do like that beautiful plume effect they put on the horizon. That adds to the massive ocean feeling.

@Daniel i'm curious how does WW HD great sea feel less atmospheric than the originals. It hasn't changed at all. the only diffrence is an optional sail that goes faster and takes the tediousness out of sailing a certain direction.

The speed of the sailing is what made the ocean feel so massive. Going with the wind, you still felt like you were going decently fast, it was just that...well...the ocean is huge. It doesn't feel too different when you have the speedy sail, except now the ocean feels more like an overdramatized Lake Hylia, to put it bluntly. The Triforce pieces, you're right though.

I always took it as a more of a growing hero moving up in the world upgrade to show progress. The great sea feels so overwhelming at first but with this new sail I am it's master now and have become a true sea captain. sort of like from going from child with tiny sword to man with master sword. Plus it is completley optional.

Fairly certain you've described Breath of the Wild pretty well. Have you seen the gameplay? You start off with hobo clothes and a stick. I can only imagine what the better equipment can do and look like.

I've seen it and it looks fantastic. I'd wager it'll give 3D-world a run for its money as my favorite wii u title. although I kinda miss the classic green duds where are they?

T'was thinking the same thing the whole time. BUT I elected not to complain, since I'm sure there's a good reason it wasn't there. Perhaps it's tied into the lore somehow and they didn't want to spoil it? The green tunic being important to the story isn't exactly a new concept.

Yes this game is a day one buy for me clothes or no clothes but it's so strange this link has been in trailors and screenshots for over a year and hasn't shown a hint of green. I can't think of any Zelda game thats happened in. If they do show up he'll eaisily get them later than any Link

Perhaps the Green Tunic is a higher level of equipment? It would only make sense that they wouldn't want to spoil that. But it's true that they've never NOT been in the concept art.

I'd be content with them just being in the game but I would prefer if they got the focus they usually do. the tunic is probably one of the most iconic outfits in gaming and him not having it would be like if next Mario game Mario spent the whole thing in just a white tee and jeans instead of with his overals and cap.

But they've added so much into the game, making it implemented SOMEHOW into the game will be necessary. Like how Mario gets a new power-up, except Link works his way up instead of down when in his original outfit.
