Miyamoto when he saw Sticker Star was originally going to be more like The Thousand Year Door

Miyomoto and Nintendo are probably most likely the reason why the recent Mario RPGs are so bare and sometimes stripped down in combat.

And by bare, I mean lack of story, unique areas, lack of original characters, basic toads everywhere, etc.

According to the iwataasks for sticker star, it was mostly Miyamotos doing as to why the series is going the direction it is. Worth a read if you haven't yet.

I'm hoping that Color Splash will be better then what was presented in the Nintendo direct back in March. But I'm not so sure about it.

Yeah, I've investigated a lot on the recent Mario RPGs lately. Apparently DT was almost pressured to just be bare bones thing but Alpha Dream refused to do that. They must of cracked under pressure for PJ. Luckily the combat was still intact.

I think I'll hold off on the other titles that aren't Paper Mario for now. Since some of the Mario and Luigi RPGs are more special to me, I'm more prone to ranting about a game that hasn't done nearly as much unwelcomed ( by the majority of people,) change as games like SS did. I'll try to refrain from talking about others as much unless if someone else wants to talk about it.

Forgive me for not being up to date, but who's DT, Alpha Dream, and PJ? Are those developers for Color Splash? Or for the previous Paper Mario games? I know that Sticker Star was going to be originally going to be similar to A Thousand Year Door, but Miyamoto came in half-way into production told them to change it because it was too "similiar" to A Thousand Year Door.

Thanks. I knew Intelligent Systems worked on the Paper Mario games, but wasn't sure who you were referring when talking about the other people.

If Miyamoto doesn't want people to continue buying Paper Mario games, he should just come out and say it.

Whoa, never thought this post would get so many yeahs, let alone make it to 100! I've never achieved this many "yeahs" before. This is quite the milestone for me, even though it might not be much to some. I thank you all for the support, whether you follow me or just drop a yeah or a friendly comment, it means a lot that people like my drawings.

After seeing the new trailer, I would now know what happened. I would draw the aftermath of this, but I don't the admins would like that.A peice of Paper cut in two... so I'll just say Paper Mario didn't escape. A positive end would be (Paper) Mario escaping, but sadly that didn't happen.
