【トキワシティｰクチバシティ間の近道】 クチバシティの東にポッカリと口を開ける洞窟は、通称「ディグダの穴」。 ココで登場するポケモンは、もちろんディグダ系(ディグダ/ダグトリオ)のみ。 赤版をプレイしてる人は、同じ地面ポケモンの「サンド」の代役として捕獲しておこう。 ただ、ディグダ系ポケモンは、攻撃力/素早さが高い代わりに防御力が低い。 この点に注意して育成すること。 ココは、飛行/水/氷/草ポケモンの育成にも最適な場所でもあるのだ。

    ディグダ/ダグトリオについて ディグダの穴で頻繁に見かけることが多いのが、モグラポケモン・ディグダ。 中でもLv19以上のディグダは、技「穴を掘る」を自力で覚えているので便利だが、ひと度敵に回すと恐ろしい存在になってしまう。 この他、稀に登場するダグトリオは攻撃力/素早さが地面ポケモンの中でもトップクラスのため、殊更注意してほしい。 (ダグトリオは、ポケモン30傑の一角でもあるのだ) 技「穴を掘る」 タイプ:地面/威力:100/PP:10/命中:100 穴を掘って相手の背後に回り込み、不意打ちを仕掛ける。 1ターン目に地中に潜り込み、次のターンで攻撃する。 (初代では、技「地震」での反撃はできない)
