    I don't have a WiiU, but I've played both on the GameCube, and I'd say Wind Waker if you're feeling adventurous and want a game with a great story, great graphics, and actually really good combat for a Zelda game (also the sidequests are actually pretty fun). TP though, I feel is for if you want something that feels more mature...

    TP also has pretty good combat, a lot of which came from WW, memorable characters, and great horseback combat. TP HD also seems to have more collectibles than the original, and has Amiibo support...

    I will say that after beating both multiple times, WW had more stuff to do outside of the main quest, and as much as people complain aboat it (pun intended) I had a ton of fun sailing around and stumbling across hidden treasure or new islands, which were just so mysterious and fun to explore and theorize about. Not to meantion the sea monsters, like the giant squid things, and Seahats...

    TP though, for me, was only really fun during the main game, which didn't offer anything more in the original when you beat it, whereas WW gave you the ability to wear different clothes, a fun new sidequest full of easter eggs and information on your enemies, and a new camera! Both are really fun though...

    But for me WW always had more to do. I've never 100% beat WW because there's so much to do, from secret items, to collecting figurines, there was just so much that I ended up playing it until the disc got ruined! You may also be able to get WWHD for less than TP, and I would really recommend it! Btw sorry for commenting so much, I just really wanted to help you out, have fun!
