Character ideas?

So, I don't know if I should say what I'm making until it out to the public.... But I'm doing a project and I added my oc's for characters and I need some male characters or its gonna end up like one of those girl power cartoons. Any suggestions? (Name, personalty, appearance, ect.)

    Well, i have over 40 OC's right now, and what helps me make them is aspects of who i am. All my ocs were ALL girls too once, but i added male characters. I'll give you examples: Lizanora's personality is taken from when i was a depressed loner, Starlaron's personality is taken from my AMAZING FRIEND Jesse! and Siobohan is me as a whole

    Also, if you want ocs that arent human, i suggest looking into World of Warcraft races, they have all sorts of magic powers, all sorts of races ect, As for the naming part, if your going to make a character with words in his/her name, i would suggest giving them a birth name too, like my character Lïght, goes by Lïght but is actually named Namaara.

    *scibbling down notes* Actually when ever I name a character I just look up names that mean whatever the character is associated with, or I name them after someone.

    One thing every cartoon (or whatever format of entertainment) is a quite character with a depressing back story. Also its your... entertainment, you do you, don't immitate other shows though. Thats copyright. (©)
