<新しくなる煙突#16>八尾から港までの路線は全線単線で区間が長いため途中に信号所が設けられています。それが南八尾信号所です。八尾駅とそもそも近いので現在は未使用状態ですが、旅客化した場合や貨物列車の増発が発生した場合はここですれ違いを実施する予定です。旅客化する場合、駅に格上げを行う予定です。利用者は･･･どうだろ？
