Question

Does anyone know..can you play previous versions of Wii U software?

Like...........purely hypothetically speaking.......if a someone (definitely not me) bought Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric...could this person (again...not me) play the game without update patches? In case it wasn't clear....it's not me...(It was $11 on Amazon...give me a break...)

    If it doesn't have Online leaderboards or Online multiplayer, I'd think so. But your system will automatically try downloading the latest patch. You can delete it, but then it would get downloaded again. Turning automatic software updates off would do the trick, but I don't think you can choose specific ones. Which means you'd have to manually update all your other games and the Wii U firmware!
