    I don't usually feed birds during the summer, but Goldfinches come and eat seeds from my coneflowers and hummingbird mints. And all sorts of birds visit the bird bath.

    Don't you just love them? I adore the little finches, they are so fun to watch. Guess what I've been seeing flying over alot this summer? A Blue Heron!! It's huge and so beautiful.

    Oh wow, they're huge... Like a pterodactyl. I see them sometimes when I'm running. And yes, goldfinches are pretty birds! During winter storms I sometimes get dozens (hundreds?) of them, along with house finches, purple finches, and the occasional pine sisken.

    ~That's awesome BoltEdge, so exciting to see! The one I see here flies in between two big ponds in the area and sometimes stands in the pasture down from me when it gets real marshy :) ~It's so true Lum! And the way they fly...like you said, it's like a pterodactyl. Really love when I see him overhead. Oh how fun!! I love all the finches and lovebirds. lol just like in the movie The Birds..fav!!
