Animal Crossing: New Leaf

The west room is very strange! It's just a room full of spinning wheels and a statue and... THE DOLL! It's in every room and it's quite scary. I have no idea what it means. I tried moving the camera around in different directions, but nothing would appear. Please comment if you have an idea on what this is all about! Thanks!
