    If you haven't found it yet, I believe you have to go North from Kakariko Village until you get to the guy with all the rocks in his yard and help him. I might be wrong, so just in case, just use a walkthrough. ZeldaDungeon.net has good guides.

    head to the left side of the mountain on your map and speak with a dude in his house. he will give you something that lets you lift small rocks. now you can enter a cave one or two screens down. try that

    talk to rosso, get the power gloves, and go through the cave east of his house, you should get to death mountain then, you will find the tower of hera soon enough
