    Well, size is not the problem, cobsidering Olimar is VERY tiny in Pikmin games. The problem is there are currently 722 Pokemon and we have a new generation coming up, so the competition in INSANE. Butterfree just isn't recognisable enough for a spot.Pokemon characters chosen are usually ones with big fanbases and important roles in movies, not to mention they usually add Pokemon from newest...

    nekkoalas evolution, zoroark, sceptile, blaziken, and bisharp are probably better choices then butterfree
