I guess I need to stress this more.

There are no bad characters, only bad players. "But Zelda-" But what? If two equally skilled players go against each other, one going Zelda and the other ZSS, the match is in ZSS favor, but does that mean that Zelda can't win? No! Ganon vs. Mario. Ganon will have to play very carefully, but he can still win. Please don't make me say this again.

  • @Kyle The novice still has a chance of winning regardless of which weapon he has. It may not be high, but it might still happen. @I forgot your name Simple. It's because the people who use Ganon are not good enough to beat the other player(s). It has nothing to do with how slow he his or anything. The player using him was just not as good as they needed to be.

  • If the chances of victory are small when on an even playing field then dosn't that make one worse than the other Ex: Mario>Ganon. I've seen Ganons who are skilled enough to not get bodied by ZeRo but they will NEVER win. Ganon has and always will lose to those above him.

  • @Andrew No. If they have a small chance winning, they have to play smart so they can win. Example: A ZSS vs. King Dedede. King Dedede will have hard time escaping out of combos(if he gets into one) but he can get some nice combos of his own, and has quite a few kill options.

  • If one side has to put in much more work than another to win then they have a worse tool simple as that. If ZeRo played Ganon or Jigglypuff he wouln't even be top 10 in the world. Ganon's been around for 3 games if he was good enough to win tons of tournaments wouldn't we have seen it by now.

  • I never said that one side would have to put in much more work, I said that they will have a hard time. But, that's only if they get in a combo in the first place. If they get into one, that's their fault. And the reason because they haven't won any tournaments is because, as I said before, they weren't as good as they needed to be.

  • How exactly is hard time different from more work? With either one, it can't seriously be called fair.

  • In that case, I guess I should've worded it better. They will have to be careful. They won't necessarily have to find a new strategy, just be mindful of what moves they throw out.

  • And I'm saying that that's more work. And that just the fact that you need to put in more work because of a character difference makes it unfair.

  • Well then that's your own opinion. Btw, I'm about to eat. I will Yeah your comment when I get back.

  • I'd usually agree on the opinion thing, but just because it's fun to debate things... :P un·fair/ˌənˈfer/ adjective not based on or behaving according to the principles of equality and justice. un·e·qual/ˌənˈēkwəl/ adjective 2. not having the ability or resources to meet a challenge. So by definition, if a moveset doesn't give you the resources you need, it's unfair.

  • A moveset does give you the right resources, no matter whose it is. There may not be a counter in every moveset, but a lot of characters don't need counters because of their other attributes.

  • Fair enough. You technically can, but does that mean it's right to match them this way. That's why I ignored the word "justice" un·just/ˌənˈjəst/ adjective not based on or behaving according to what is morally right and fair. mo·ral·i·ty/məˈralədē/ noun principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behavior. So in other words...

  • It does come down to opinion on what's right or wrong and can't be proven or disproven. Even though you could go by popular opinion, which I don't think either of us know.

  • Ganon's lack of good attributes have been proven time and time again. He lacks everything a good character needs and rely's completley on reads and mistakes which high level players arn't going to make.

  • Saying no one's played him right or they have never been skilled enough clearly isn't the case when people have been using him for OVER A DECADE and none have even come close to the success of that Sheik, Zero suit or Mario have achieved in two short years.

  • @Andrew Everyone who plays Smash or any game, really, is bound to mess up. Nairo messed up/missed a ZSS flip-kick before. ZeRo sometimes misses his punishes. Many other players will do the same. And on your second comment, I'm pretty sure you just proved my point, from my understanding.
