Question

my attitude towards buying this game... should i?

I found it on the "what's new on the Nintendo eShop" section and I read a bit about it. Game seemed a bit lax from the trailers, but then I spotted the words "online rankings." I've bought a few games from the eShop solely because of their online leaderboards. (more in comments)

Then I spotted in Miiverse screenshots that the boards reset weekly. The con to this is it gets rid of the feeling you get when you hold a world record for a really long time. But, it would keep me coming back to this game and I might even pick up a rival or two. Can anyone explain how the online leaderboards work, exactly? I don't know what the game is like so keep that in mind.

If you go to Lightwood Games' YouTube channel they have a 10-minute video talking about Dan McFox, showing the different modes etc.
