update problems

I'm trying to post something on miiverse, but they say that I have to update the software first. So I go to the e–shop and there they say that the software is up– to–date! can anyone help me?

    no problem the same thing happened to me and i just thought what i have the latest update so i researched and found out you need new 3ds and the xl version that kind of sucks if you can't afford both of them
