Paper mario for smash bros

how do feel, do you think he'd just be a clone? or a unique character?

You know where I stand. He wouldn't be a clone but a new unique fighter.

He dosen't deserve to be in Smash until Nintendo stops killing his franchise.

I would love it if all his specials were his partners. Like Kooper or Koops would be side special. Parakary could be his up special. Bombette or Bobbery could be his standard special. And I don't know what his down special would be. Knowing Sakurai, he would probably use Bow or Vivian like a counter, but I hope that's not the case.

His dash animation could him riding the Yoshi. Every alternate colour also gives a different colour Yoshi. His Final Smash could be the Supernova Crystal Star move.

Nah his specials would rely on STICKERS Once Paper Mario runs out of stickers....... he can't use his specials until he gets K.O.d

I think his final smash would be the super star from super paper mario, but the the super nova would also be cool.

As long as there's NO representation of Sticker Star and Color Splash then his moveset is legit. Knowing Sakurai, he NEVER represents elements that killed a franchise.

@ Vennek Jr That seems too harsh... Remember Robin? He/She has limited tome uses, before eventually discarding the tome, but it reappears (fully charged) after some time has passed. Personally, I think something like that could work to make the sticker specials more usable. I know that stickers in Paper Mario don't regenerate, but neither do weapons (like tomes) in Fire Emblem.

I'd love to have Paper Mario in Smash 5, but probably only if Dr. Mario doesn't have his own slot since 3 Marios is a bit too much. Paper Mario wouldn't even remotely be a clone. He's 2D, so he'd be way lighter than Mario (probably about the same as Mr. G&W), and his attacks (taken directly from the PM games) would all be different. He'd use his hammer, partners, Pixls, and yes, even stickers.

@ BCH personally, How would he use the stickers in battle. Not that I'm saying you're wrong or anything like that, I'm just curious.

I don't know, I just figured they'd try to force that in somehow. Personally, I hope that he'd just use moves from the first two games, and maybe a little bit from SPM.

i think his moveset should focus more on his papery nature than his allies. there is so much that can be done, especially in z-axis interaction.

No this is Sakurai, he never adds things that personally made the game bad. He keeps characters ORIGINAL so we shouldn't be seeing any Sticker Star or Color Splash representation. @BCH: I told someone about how Smash shouldn't have 3 Marios and they replied saying "Well we have 3 Marths" Their logic was terrible

Sticker Star was still represented in this Smash (by being in a 3DS stage and having a bunch of trophies) so a game can still be represented in Smash even if tons of people loathe it.

It bugs me how that stage only showed off sticker star and thousand year door, why not all the paper mario games.

I'd be okay with it. As long as he doesn't replace Dr. Mario. I wouldn't mind having 3 Marios. I doubt anyone would notice because chances are the roster would be COLOSSAL.

I've been waiting all night to say this. That dude up there says Sakurai likes to keep characters original. What about Ganondorf?! He's went 3 games with Captain Falcon's moveset.
