I wonder why Nintendo hasn't sold extra Wii U Gamepads?

  • because we all keep buying them though

  • Because they're more expensive than the console itself.

  • Not sure if one console could handle running two game pads simultaneously.

  • Good points everyone! :-D

  • Because the gamepads would raise the Wii U's price by 100 dollars easily since gamepads are a hundred dollars a pop.

  • You can get the Pro Controller. I bought these for playing games with my daughter but wasn't impressed with them. Ended up buying her a WiiU of her own so we play online together instead of split screen. Nintendo should have stuck with the controller shape from the N64.

  • Wait...Really Harry? Personally I thought the best controller Nintendo made was the Gamecube.

  • I got a unofficial pro controller from amazon for £15 It works fine but lacks the logo and the colour itself doesn't even match the colour of my Wii U and the analogue stick plastic is more yellow and wears out very quickly!

  • The Game Cube one was pretty good Tyler. It's just that that's the time when controllers all started to look a bit the same, the N64 one was completely different. Come to think of it in some games it could be a bit of a pain, but look at it ;-)

  • I've never used a N64 controller or the console before, whats it like?

    Yeahs1
  • The console is fine, the controller however is a strange three pronged controller that has the d-pad on the left side, control stick in the center along with the start button with the z button on the underside, and the A, B, and C-Direction buttons with L and R on top of the left and right sides respectively. google images would provide a better image than my description.

  • Ok Thank you! :-D

    Yeahs1
  • It was a weird looking controller. You could hold it one way and it was like a normal controller or hold the middle and right hand handles so you could use the analogue stick. Granted sometimes not the easiest to use but it looked so cool, different and maybe I am having my judgement clouded by nostalgia but I used one of them so much. Mario Kart 64 all day :-)

  • Awesome, Happy Days! :-D
