    survey rate increases if you complete the task(ie claim a petrified tree, defeat tyrant, complete basic or affinity mission) within one hex segment on the map.

    yeah i set up a couple of them and some i could not find and some my mechanical level was not high enough and on some i died by grex's XD

    you can actually data probe each world's entirety (save a few lvl five and sky high places). It'll get you at least over 15% or whatever the min requirement that you are trying to achieve to progress a mission. That's what i did before chapter 4. just avoid enemy fights (the game will get you up to level requirement eventually).
