The system kept turning itself off (after overheating) repeatedly, so I got 3 stars on all levels in the game after approximately 1½ hours (as these 'powering off' moments caused progress on (a) level(s) to be lost at times). ^u^

That issue was not because of the game, though, but it was instead just an issue of the Wii U itself becoming overheated and turning itself off.
