melee or sma4sh

witch is better melee or smash4 melee introduceed side smashes and wave dash but smash introduceed final smashes and better graphics but witch is better ps brawl introduced final smashes but smash 4 has more characters that introduced more final smashes

Ssb4. It doesn't have the terrible air dodge where you enter a helpless state after use.

Melee, you can't have a "get out" free card when it comes to combos.

Smash 4. Wavedashing was IMHO not a good thing, and the roster is fairly well balanced.

Smash 4 because of the character roster and 8 player Smash. Don't get me wrong, I like Melee, but it's overrated.
