I heard 9 9 9 was skippable in the series. Your thoughts?

999 explains a lot about Junpei and Akane's backstories. Not playing 999 will make some of VLR's late plot points make less sense, too. I'd recommend playing it or at least reading a summary before playing the rest of the series. Watching a playthrough of the true end can be a good option if you just want to watch one path.

You definitely should watch the ending online after reading a summary, though! One of the best endings I've ever seen.
