Smash Online; How to improve Online!
So I was playing Smash for a bit, after a few lag switch trolls, I appear in SmashHell, encountering such cancerous trolls, until I found myself unable to play it at all. the NPC A.i also adapted to this type of unfair trash.

Long story short, I am aware Smash Online is full of it, lots of cancer. I've been waiting a bit for said issue to be fixed in whatever way. I would hope they'd improve upon the system through actual ranking and skill level, instead of an easily abused system of punishing players, good or not.

The real mystery is the fact that you can get online right now, with this error code. Also, matchmaking is based on win percentage, and does everything it can to get you to 50% so there is some sort of matchmaking. However, for glory isn't an amazing indicator of skill anyway.

My suggestion to Nintendo has to be to add more fixes for the repetitive feature of spamming 'kick.' It should be more of a system of skill and ranking, rather than chance encounter. Anyone can meet a stranger, how do we deter whether said stranger uses lagswitch? mods? I am sure therefore the problem is that it's not moderated off anything. No ranking whatsoever.

This game needs a better netcode that detects lag switching and flat out bans anyone who does it. Also some moves; mainly input commands and tap and hold attacks either don't come out or the game misreads the input as another mover thanks to the lag switchers and the naff online, this game's online is unplayable sometimes.

I knew there was something wrong with the online. I take for granted that I‛m bad, playing in a 3ds is really difficult compared to a gamecube controller. But the sudden lagspikes without reason and my oponents not being affected by it made me quit it for a while... Why can't they implement matchmaking ranks? I came from counter-strike, lol, even friking rocket league has one! I hope they fix it.

Why not focus on the simpler stuff? Like trolls who don't even fight and bullying those that do flooding the servers!

Or how about trolls that keep a sudden death going as long as they can?

Trolls and Spammers, Grief and Scammers, Cowards and Warlocks are not excluded from the equasion. Note: Trolls can refer back to lag switchers, who use lag to troll and screw with people. The solution to the overall concept of problems is acknowledging one exists to fix, to fix it, one must know what it is that's to be removed, if any; to implement a patch.

In essence, Lagswitch: Button Imput DETECTION, but DELAYED reaction. If the system could detect the button press, and notice the character had a delayed response, Kick the player WITHOUT a delayed response from the servers for a day. BAITING: Kick players for baiting others into defending against you, or for running from you in Glory. If these said problems are thus repeated again, extend ban.

How said penalty should go, if said improvement were to be implemented, in which case to better the game: Picking on specific people, DRAWING OUT battles, griefing, or anything even remotely unfair to others, 1st - 3rd - Hourly Ban 4th 6th - Daily Ban 7th 9th - Weekly ban 10+ - Monthly ban to Permanent Ban from the Smash Servers. Including the process of disconnecting from battles, just to troll.

Matchmaking ranks would be great too. This way they could add a report feature. Also the game would be more enjoyable. I'm getting my ass kicked because I'm a noobie and I'm being paired with semi-pros. Although I think nintendo doesn't care about that.

Yeah, the system is sorely neglected in terms of overall gameplay. I was bullied and harrassed by a savage named Topillo. What an annoying bugger at that, Nintendo needs to temporarily ban, or even SUSPEND online trolls within that calibur, bullying and taking advantage of new players, or unskilled ones. I say perm-ban Topillo, to prevent this problem from growing within the game.

2BeVeryFreakingHonest - I don't care about LOSING matches, so much as I'm worried the person I play against is a complete jerk, with no appreciation. I say the bigger problem at hand isn't people who camp or troll; It's lag-switchers and Harassers, It's in itself, people who spam taunts when they launch you, and don't get penalized for ridiculing, attacking, and shaming innocent people.

Let me interpret my point subtly, Say I was a troll, and for every kill, I spam 2 taunts, while crouching and jumping around. This makes players uncomfortable, it can bring players to STOP doing Online, or put their minds in a bad position, and quit Smash altogether; If a system such as regulating solicitating and inappropriate behavior, and lag switching, you can imagine it'd improve.

Here's some news, if anyone is interested. Apparently Lag-Switches have the capacity to CRASH battles. Guy named d-man walks in, me bored out of my mind from the consistent abuse not long before, which I so enjoyed suffering[How does one even 'enjoy' 'suffering?'] so, to further support the fact the game needs a mandatory update, I was disconnected, and game froze. e.e ? ? ! ? ?
