    I just received an email from Nintendo Newsletter saying the next Splatfest will be the last. They want everyone to vote for their favourite stage and the top three will be in the Splatfest. Think I need to go breathe into a paper bag for a bit.

    There will be an uproar! We all moan about the loss of connection and waiting in the lobby, but we accept thats part and parcel, ( though we secretly hope it will get fixed!) Hope they change their minds. I always love the twilight feel of splatfest, for that one reason alone I would not miss it.

    A guy on Facebook told me you can transform the plaza into Splatfest mode soon but guess how? You gotta buy one of the squid sister Amiibos, not sure which one. Good marketing ploy that one.

    Harry...ah well I suppose could be better in a way then, as if you can only get splatfest with an amiibo, that means they will have the normal player mode availiable at the same time, which will mean that only people playing in the splatfest are players who want to be there,theoretically the teams will be better, servers should cope with the smaller traffic flow.Only one drawback,the initial cost.

    I think it's only the plaza that changes. I'll find out on the 8th when my Amiibos should be delivered. Gonna have to fight my wee girl for the Callie and Marie Amiibos though, she's going to be away with them when she sees them.

    Harry - thanks for letting me know,(I'm ink-redibly jealous of your purchase!) I'm sure I will give in to temptation and buy them. I'm a big kid anyway! More games are becomming free with 'optional in game purchase' it's a money spinner thats for sure! Pity they are not doing the fat cat Jud..... lol!

    They could do the Judd Amiibo like the Yoshi yarn one, plushie on a base. Nothing wrong with being a big kid, too many adults take themselves too seriously and miss the magic that their kids see. I spend ages researching what kids are into and try to keep my daughter up to date, some of her friends are surprised how much I know of their things.

    That's not so bad. I know a lot about Japanese fashion, My Little Pony, Gravity Falls, anything considered "Kawaii" and Minecraft. I have answered the front door to the postman while wearing gloves before because I figured that would be easier to explain than the red nail polish :-D

    Harry, thats true Dad-Daughter love right there! I've done similar things, but non as funny. When she was younger (13 now)I do remember her Dad having his hair 'styled', there were so many hair slides and accessorys, he did draw the line at hair chalk and glitter spray though! Don't think he enjoyed it much, he got his hair cut the next day lol.

    Ha Ha. Don't have enough hair for styling and it's kept short but makeup is still an option although you run the risk of being poked in the eye with a mascara brush. Seriously, who cares? It washes off and we have fun. Usually she thinks of something to do she thinks is crazy and I'm like "wait, let's take this up a level". I get told off more than she does at the swimming pool and the like :-D
