Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma

I DON'T GET IT!!! I've been trying for half an hour, but I just can't get it to work. I zap the node 4th from left, then 1 left, 2 left, 4 right and 3 left, but even then, that leaves 1.

Then the note says "boot up", but whether I zap the last node, or press back, it always fails. What's the trick?

nvm. Someone gave me the solution. You're supposed to start by activating the first one...

read your comment just yet, but i tried this puzzle a lot too until i noticed that the note mentioned "from the far left". so your not the only one ;)
