    The under represented series need more fighters. Otherwise, I would like to see Steve appear, since Minecraft has become a gaming icon. Splatoon was far too successful to not get any fighters or battlefield. Ready the Inkling! If we need to have yet another Mario character (!), how about Paper Mario, with Paper Luigi as a separate "skin"?

    Metroid, Donkey Kong, and Zelda definitely need another character - all three are long overdue. My picks would be Ridley, K. Rool, and Midna. As far as new series go, I'd like to see some that aren't old enough to be retro, but aren't brand new. Series like Golden Sun, Custom Robo, Sin & Punishment, and Advance Wars have a lot of history and material to work with. Also, bring back Solid Snake.
