What are you talking about, dude? Yeah, that scene was tragic to see, but I felt that scene made the film stronger by adding emotional impact. Harrison Ford (Han Solo) wanted the character to die since The Empire Strikes Back.

Yes, it's true: Harrison Ford first suggested they do this back in Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. But, with all due respect to a great actor, that doesn't mean it's a good idea (notice than Han survives the entire Original Trilogy). Oh, we laugh at what a Sith-wannabe Kylo Ren is, and rightfully so. But this is the scene where he goes from pathetic wimp to irredeemably evil.
