    I think I've turned it off, but I still have to wait for it to try to connect, fail, and time-out.

    You turned off Analytic in the option? if not, thats why. All that means is they get data/Feedback from the game such as performance, how many hours people play theyre game, what are some popular things people use or do in game

    Yes, which isn't a problem except even when I turn Analytics off the game still tries to connect. (wasting my time) And we have no DLC, no online multiplayer...why bother trying to connect?
