The Legend Of Zelda:Breath Of The Wild. Ok guys i got a NEW timeline theory which is what i am placing my final deal on! I think this takes place in the Adult Timeline After Wind Waker&Spirit tracks! Ok let me get in depth. So after spirit tracks how? Well their are Koroks, wind symbols, and the rusted master sword! Ok read comments for FULL theory!

    Hmm... Yes i do agree with you on that. However The Kokiriki weren't around in Twilight Princess and they did not appear in the downfall timeline exept a refrence to them in Triforce Heroes (which is cannon) So after the timeline split they weren't really around exept in Wind waker they appeared as Koroks.

    They can take any form they want to but that will take take alot of time and they weren't have any reason to be koroks in the child or downfall timeline since theirs and the Rito's purpose was to fit in with the great sea. I am not saying it will take place in the Adult Timeline i am saying the possibility has increased for that timeline more than the other two.

    The Fallen timeline has way too many games and i am sure nintendo knows that since the adult&Child only have Three Games. But with nintendo you never know another split could happen or heck it could be in the unfied

    @Woody- Unless you have a reason for there being more timeline splits there is no reason to consider it being a possibility. @Zac- Number of games really has no bearing on which timeline it would be in. If Nintendo wanted to make a new game like the original LoZ, they would likely do so in the same timeline.

    Taking the form of the Korok allows them to better hid themselves as they (koroks and kokiri) were afraid of outsiders. The flood did not cause them to transform, they chose to change. A quote from the deku tree itself proves this.

    Here is that quote: "Once upon a time, long ago, the koroks took the form of humans. When they came to live on the sea, they chose this form." This quote implies the spirits came from somewhere else to live where they do in wind waker, then changed form.

    @Woody in aLttP Ganon was supposedly destroyed forever, but he returned in later games. i don't think the Triforce is such an almighty power. from what i've seen the Triforce's effects wear off after a long time.

    @Woody They might of not transformed for the great sea, but their shapes were built in mind for the great sea since they could fly over surfaces in Wind Waker. There might be a slim possibility they can appear in other timelines however they weren't around in the child timeline with the games we have, and in the Downfall timeline we know there kokiriks from triforce heroes

    @Woody- It actually doesn't mean they came from somewhere else. You have to remember the way that the Deku Tree speaks. "When they came to live on the sea" in this style of English means "When they started to live on the sea".

    I do agree on that. We know the kokoriki evolved into the koroks and you mentioned ''for ''the great sea they chose this form'' if they chose that form it means that it was ''for'' the great sea. If they were in other timeline they would of chosen other forms. Their is a possibility of them being in other timelines. Also Nintendo doesn't go in depth with the characters so why would they

    include koroks without having a full reason. They must have an explination for how they appear in other timelines and they are likely tp not take the time and do that since they can have other characters but they chose koroks because they eaither planned this takes place in the adult timeline or they took the time to have an explination

    to be fair, we don't know much about the story yet, so there could very well be a good reason the Koroks are in another timeline. i'm no longer using the fact that the Koroks exist to be a reason, but because the Koroks DO exist in this timeline i can use that to explain some things.

    Yup agreed right now we don't know anything. I am not going to jump on the bandwagon and confirm it takes place after wind waker because of koroks just alone. I am theoryising timeline possibilitys for Breath Of The Wild starting with Adult Timeline since thats the most evidence we have of at the momment.

    @Zac- Or there is no explanation, they just included Koroks because they wanted to. If anything it's story that would be the strongest evidence of what timeline it lies in. Next them having Hyrule as a kingdom being dead in the way that it is.

    Yes agreed right now were just taking what we have without the story since nintendo are very unpredictable at times. However they did include characters for a reason since Aounuma did say they took out characters to not spoil the plot. They could of removed the koroks but who knows why they left them in maybe because their was an iteam called the korok leaf so they left them in

    Just posing this question though....if the Koroks (or Kokiri) didn't come from somewhere else, what mountain in Hyrule was the forest on? Remember, all the land masses in WW were mountains in Hyrule before it flooded. Kokiri forest was not on a mountain. It was in a valley.

    Hmm... their location could of easily changed, like in ocarina they were in a valley but their location changed to the forest haven in WW. Also their are alot of mountains in Breath Of The Wild which could also explain that. If its in the Adult timeline that it could be before WW or years after spirit tracks. But i think its another timeline split.

    @Woody you do bring up good points maybe this could not be in the Adult timeline. It will take alot of hard work to figure out and theoryise what timeline it takes place in since theirs alot of possibilitys where this can take place in. I do appreciate the time you took to figure out the mistakes in my theory. I like discussing with other zelda fans about potential theorys!
