Why is the Mario Maker stage banned fron tournaments?

Does anyone know why the Mario Maker stage is banned from most, if not all tournaments? It seems pretty fair to me... thanks!

  • It's random everytime you choose it. Can have hazards, can have walk offs.

  • Tournament players don't have the ability, or desire, to cope with random elements. Since the Mario Maker stage is the embodiment of randomness, it obviously isn't tournament legal. *prepares his fire extinguisher*

  • Walk offs promote back throw camping and other parts of the stage have hazards that detract from the fight. Competitive players have the ability to cope with hazards, we'd rather just not have the pain of having the stage interrupting the fight and/or having the stage KO the opponent. Having the stage KO the opponent seems. . . not right in a competitive environment.

  • It's too random for a serious fight. That's why they don't allow items.
