He didn't accidentally grab you, he planned it all along. Explorers of Sky is my favorite out of the PMD games. The fact that Grovyle is meant to be your partner pokèmon always made me sad, at the ending of the game. He was such a good character. The song when he says goodbye is my favorite out of the whole game. They also foreshadowed Primals forms before ORAS came out.

You have to defeat the final-final boss (Darkrai), recruit Manaphy, spend some days exploring, then Bidoof will come along and tell you that you're allowed to evolve now. I think. It's been a while.
