    Everything has to be coded and tested for every platform first and bugs have to be fixed after testing. This obviously takes time. When everything works, the platform is updated. You can't expect everything to automatically work on every platform as soon as the PC version is updated. Blocks are one thing, but changing the mob AI and adding new mobs takes a while to make sure everything works.

    the wii u is probably harder to program games for and not many people have wii u edition making it a lower priority that other consoles

    We shouldn't have to wait "a very long time" for an update. It may take some time, but not forever. Would you rather wait and get a good update or demand an update and get something that constantly breaks?
