Why does everyone want Shadow as the next Sonic rep.

I personally think Tails, Knuckles, Eggman, or Metal Sonic would be better choices.

    Shadow being second favorite for modern games is true, but everyone above played a prominent role in Sonic's history when he was at his most popular plus they've all been appearing in recent titles more than Shadow has.

    Shadow would be my third choice behind Knuckles and Tails. Let's face it, if we ever get another Sonic character, it would be Tails for obvious reasons (sorry, Shadow supporters).

    Kina disapointed in the lack of Eggman support. he's the one Sonic character who would never be a clone and has been with the series since the start. Plus he'd help out the struggling villain pool where the only people who are actually evil would be Bowser and Ganondorf everyone else is antihero at worst.

    If I had to rank the order of how much I want a certain Sonic characters in smash it would go 1. Tails 2. Metal Sonic 3. Eggman 4. Shadow 5.Knuckles 6.Blaze 7. Silver

    Shadow might be a cool character but he doesn't deserve do become playable in Smash. We don't another rep because it dont make sense adding characters from the same franchise. I love the sonic series and I don't hate Shadow.

    I would rather have no Sonic character than Shadow. He's a dorky character made to act edgy, and it ticks me off. He's a literal clone that's just an atempt to attract customers cause he's 'dark' and 'cool'

    @Charlie yes actually Sonic can use chaos control, and anyone can use guns but Sonic doesn't like them as one of his quote's from Shadow's game is,"I wouldn't be caught dead holding one of those things".
