So this game IS impossible without multiplayer, right? (Or am I just terrible?)

  • Ok, because I keep failing on every hunt job I do. I guess I just need to get better at using bombs and traps.

  • Port quest are really meant for multiplayer because the monsters are slightly strong than single player quests. sure, you can do them by yourself, but it will be tough!

  • This monster hunter's multi is easy compared to the past ones but you can do g-rank solo just takes practice

  • You'll be able to solo the game, it just takes practice. :) On the plus side, all the solo play will make you a better player than a lot of the hunters that had other players carry them through G Rank. :D

  • Are you upgrading your gear? You are not meant to only play each round once. You need to hunt the same monsters over and over and collect tons of materials before moving on to a tougher monster if you want to win. Upgrade, Upgrade, Upgrade. The gear is what the game is about. You are only as strong as your gear.

  • When you get stuck, make the best weapon and armor you can make from the monsters you CAN beat, and try again. Don't forget to max out with armor spheres. Un-leveled armor will not do. Also ... maximize your loadout before every match. Potions, Hot/Cold Drink, Antidote, whetstones, well done meat ... whatever you need. Never go under-stocked.

  • There are subtleties to every weapon and every monster. Try looking up pro videos of both to see how to fight more effectively. There may be a "Trick" you've been missing that will help you earn the victories that seem impossible.

  • I am a veteran of this game, but still not that good, in spite of 1k+ hours experience. Even so, I solo'd many tough monsters in the port quests on 3DS up to G-Rank before getting a WiiU to play online. It's possible. It just takes PRACTICE and PATIENCE. But mostly Time. Hundreds of Hours of Time.

  • I am upgrading my gear it's just that I think I've over done it compared to other people who do solo runs. I guess that means I need to upgrade more or just practice.
