Question

Failed the Jhen Mohran quest 3 times... I don't know what i'm doing wrong, I used the dragonator in it twice, Used the hunting gong to get it away from the dragonship, I used an Barioth SwitchAxe because i've heard it's weak to ice... HELP?

    Only use the gong when it does the big bodyslam move. During the final showdown aim for its legs. During the dragonship part try and break the weakpoints on his back

    Did you also use the Ballista Binder? That can be useful to keep him still and not attacking at times. Good places to attack in the first half would be the spine cracks, the spine itself, and the arms. In the second half, save the gong for his body slams. If you gong when he rears up, it will make him fall over, letting you attack the inside of his mouth, which is his weakest spot.

    In the second half, you can attack his belly for pretty high damage, but with a blademaster weapon that can be risky. Most people stick to the arms for safety reasons.

    Ok, Thanks. I think i was doing everything except the correct gong timing. I'll probably watch a video for a visualization but these are great tips.

    One other thing, as with all elder dragons, they are weak to dragon attack. and everything is weak to slime.

    Something else you should keep in mind is that you should keep him from hitting the ship as much as possible, if you take too much damage in phase one (it says Low in quest info) you pretty much should just abandon and redo right there because you will not make it through the second phase unless you can kill it quick, at 5 min left he will start chaining bodyslams faster than you can stop them.
