    I'm working on the Bow. I REALLY like the new mobility, but I feel so much less effective than I did with my bowgun. But I think if I can master it, I could surpass my old ability with the gun...

    Well, I just started myself, but I'm using the bow made from the Pink Rathian. It's pretty basic, and you can coat with poison, Close-range and Paralysis. Since you're gonna be using gunner armour, just try to use whatever fits for the monster you're fighting, like normal. Bows are weird because they have different types of shots that change when you charge your shot, and each bow has a different

    set of shots. You can have shots that spread our horizontally or vertically, or shots that pierce the monster. Did that help at all?

    mmm not 2 much. i knew most of that. i just dont understand why it takes 20 to 30 mins longer using a gun or bow to kill a monster than using a cold blade

    If you can get Rapid/Spread/Pierce with Focus good for it. I don't know what other skill are mandatory for bow users, but those two together are enough to increase your damage output greatly. (Bonus Points if you can use it with an element bow that uses power coatings)

    I'm working on starting the incredibly difficult process of hunting Stygian Zinogres to make my dream bow. It comes with Power coatings, and has Dragon element :3 But for now, pink rath seems to be my best bet for a solid bow.

    Kelbi bow is pretty good in itself though. Slime aside, it can use all coatings. Hunting Savage Jho yesterday with one and he kept it paralyzed, poisoned, and exploding all through the hunt while we hack at it. That thing died in 12 minutes.

    I do love the use of all the coatings. That's why I liked my Green Plesi bowgun. But, silly as it sounds, the idea of seeing my character use a slingshot instead of a bow kinda turns me off. And I have other good bows I'm working on anyway, so meh.
