    It's your Critical Hit rate. If you have a weapon with 10% Affinity, then every time you hit a monster you'll have a 10% chance of hitting for double damage.

    High Affinity = Critical Hits (Higher Damage) Negative Affinity (Red Text) = Less Damage You can count on Nargacuga weapons to provide the critical hits and you can blame Diablos for every useless blade in its name.

    Expert skill points grant Critical Eye, which boosts your crit chance by 10% each level. Rath Soul armor gives you Critical Eye +2 right off the bat.

    As stated, it is your percent chance of dealing a critical hit. A critical hit only affects the raw damage, and does not affect element, status, or slime. A critical does 1.25x damage, and a negative critical does 0.75x damage.
