There's an exploit in the Abyssal Lagiacrus fight where you can find a small opening that the Lagiacrus can't get through. You can stay there all day and he can only hit you with ranged attacks. This exploit only works with ranged weapons, though.

    I've never use that glitch kill tactic even against the event one solo. Course i mainly use melee weps anyway. It IS a faster way of farming its materials but i rather battle it straight up. It just takes the fun out of farming it through the glitch.

    Why use the glitch and take 15 minutes to kill Abyssal when a good group can speed run it in less than two minutes?
