I played Breath of Fire III & IV on PSO. Although I still own my SNES... I wasn't into RPGs when this game was around then. I'm happy to final play this & I'm very much enjoying it. It's a shame Capcon won't make another game of this series & abandoned it after what happened with Dragon Quarter. Here's to hoping we get the Breath of Fire I on Virtual Console in the future.

    Thanks for this post! Huge fan of IV & V, but never had a chance to try this one and wasn't sure it would be as awesome. Definitely going to check it out now!

    Breath of Fire IS coming to the Wii U Virtual Console! Capcom said "2014" so either it'll be here for Christmas or hopefully next month. Europe and Japan got it already.

    Well hopefully Ben, Capcom will give us a Happy New Year surprise & it'll appear on the eShop on 1-1-15. If not, hopefully it won't be too much longer of a wait for it to go up. They say good things come to those who wait... we can only continue to look & hope. I can sympathize with & understand your frustration though, given the time that's passed.

    It's official! Capcom-Unity announced that Breath of Fire's coming to North America on Feb. 12, 2015! So save up enough money before New Nintendo 3DS/Majora's Mask 3D/Monster HUnter 4 Ultimate launch ;)
