    Because Vaati kinda one-upped Ganondorf in every way shape and form considering it takes four Links to defeat him or one Link with an uber powered Master Sword. (More powerful than the Deity Link sword) Plus he transformed ALL of Hyrule Castle into a dungeon of puzzles and monsters in mere seconds. Hes also the best swordsman in Hyrule and has a wish granting hat.

    He also BROKE the Master Sword, turned Zelda to stone, knocked Link unconcious, and dealt with four Royal Guards in a moment. He akso secretly ruled over Hyrule for a while.

    Honestly, Ganondorf is my favorite because of how awesome he is. I mean, srsly. Vaati? Sure he can really do some cool stuff, but let's be honest. A wind mage ghostie sorta thing? Eh. The original guy, Malladus I believe, was pretty cool, but he lacks the cool human form Ganondorf has. I don't know, but Ganondorf has the freakin' Triforce of Power. If that doesn't strike terror, what does?

    Also Vaati isnt a "wind mage". Hes kind of just a dark sorcerer like Ganondorf, but more magic power and WAY more brains but less brawn. Did I mention Vaati came back from the dead? Ganondorf has to be REINCARNATED.

    Also, Ganondorf has kinda been done to death *ba dum tsss* with not many surprises, like Bowser with Bowser Jr. And hes just the same thing each time. "I wanna take over the world but first I need my revenge on that green clothed kid." Whereas Bowser tends to have different gimmicks. Sometimes hes stealing Peach, other times hes stealing fairies, and other times hes actually SAVING the kingdom.

    i would but not in the way you think see when link defeated demise they went to the surface earlyer and thus got more tech and thus a new possible timeline where ganondorf is possibly links mentor please nintendo?! :'(

    In the beginning of the game. Its sealing a chest and he just throws a dark orb at it and half of it just goes flying and monsters are unleashed on the world from the chest.Minish in the mountains and when they reforge it they say that they most likely made it BETTER than the original.
