    Honestly, in terms of actual swordsmanship, it's probably Link, seeing as he's practically superhuman at it, and he's had many generations over thousands of years to hone his skills (skill and experience carries over between incarnations). Although Shulk is excellent as well, the Monado is an incredibly powerful blade capable of killing gods and planet-titans.

    The best swordsman is probably Ike. Zelguis himself said that he was superior to Greil, who was called Gawain the invincible in his time. In terms of raw power the other ones don't even stand a chance against shulk, the monado is too overpowered.
