Odds are that Korra isn't the first homosexual Avatar. If the cycle has been going on for thousands and thousands of years, then there's bound to be other Avatars who were gay, openly or "in the closet."

    I'm glad they didn't have Korra and Mako together in the end. Nothing against them as characters, I'm just sick of the male and female leads always ending up as the official couple of the story.
