Anyone else think that Tri and Tri Ultimate seem to be a bit easier than previous Monster Hunter games? (I've only played 2, Freedom 2 & Unite, and the Tris, if that changes anything).

    They are definitely easier especially with the 50 point defense buff the western release of 3U got. 4U is supposed to be around the difficulty of mhfu while being more fair like how 3U is.

    it is. tri was capcom's little project to introduce MH to the western audience. notice how many people always rant that it's too hard? imagine if the didn't tune down the difficulty...

    actually heres my view on difficulty. MH1 (PS2), mhf1 (psp) mhf2 (psp), mhfu (psp), mh3(wii), mh3u (wiiu/3ds), mhp3rd (psp). List is Hardest to easiest. so the original mh and mhf are the hardest. y? because limited move sets/and dual monster quests didn't lower monster hp. mhfu was easier than mhf2...cuz of awsome armor sets. mh3 was harder than mh3u cuz of more agressive AI, and mh3u's

    harder than p3rd because monsters can actually fight. (not joking mhp3rd's AI practicly sat thier and let you kill them until the final boss.)

    Mh3 Tri was definitely the harder of the Tris, I couldn't get past Lagiacrus without grinding for better gear online... After that I was a tad BIT over powered... With rathalos+ arms, chest, legs, and waist (all VERY much upgraded), dober helm (again, upgraded like no other), and something along the line of a Sieglinde G. Sword (not sure how upgraded if at all)...
