Impressions

Few monsters i wanna name that always was a waste of space and creation within the series imo xD. "Lao-shan lung" Has 2 be the biggest waste of space EVER (so far) its basically just a moving mountain that does NOTHING but walks and roars lol. ONLY time it actually tries attacking u is when ur standing on top of those bridges it'll try and bite u ONCE then goes right back 2 ignoring u...sigh...

Wait. Were you able to climb & walk on it's body & mine stuff from it? If not, then I agree that these mountain sized monsters that rarely attack are ineed a waste of digital data.

@ridley ya u could jump on top of its back and carve its back a few times or set anti dragon bombs on it but it wasn't anything spectacular. Although that's probably the most fun u'd get out of lao lol and dragonatoring it XD. Lao was just a boring monster 2 me it barely did anything and had no abilities. Its subspecies apparently had dragon element but im pretty sure the element wasn't big-

-or very threating cuz i've fought it many times and never saw it or either i did and just 4got but considering i don't really remember it must've not been a big deal. Shen and dire are boring as well, although they're a lot more fun than both lao's.

I can definitely agree with you on this one CB...With Ceadeus, it's not so bad if you got a team full of HBG's, but lol...I've fallen asleep on more than a couple Jhen quests. Didn't even get my carves once, just straight up fell asleep for an hour or so. If Lao's that bad, I'd hope his gear is good, otherwise that's a fight I won't bother with.

Fights with monsters like Jhen would be better if there were other monsters popping up, that's for sure.

@angel lol ikr! Ceadeus is just a big pile of slow moving sleeping gas. Jeezuz! XD. And jhen is no better. Although as u said, at least with ceadeus it accually attacks YOU and is way more interesting than the others. I hate when capcom make these titan size monsters that completely ignores u through most of the hunt just 2 break something down.

Soooo..in other words, you want these HP sponges to become a set of hit boxes that are so huge no one can dodge them, and could potentially kill you in a hit or two?...you have my vote.

Lol their attacks don't be that bad honestly. Dalamdur (hate that localized name) is incredibly huge and its attacks has insane range and some can easily 1 shot u but they're still fairly able 2 be evaded. Just gotta time ur dodges carefully as well as guard. Same with Yama Tsukami and u hunt it on the edges of the top tower with VERY little room.

As long as they make the area u hunt it in wide enuff those hitboxes won't be that bad. If anything least it'd make the hunts actually challenging and more fun.

U know what would be really sad if lao had a ecoulgy video where it shows he has more interaction with hunters SO A BONUS VIDEO WOULD SHOW MORE EXCITEMENT THEN THE ACTAL FIGHT

Yep XD. Only thing i like about both lao's is their size and designs but gameplay wise they suck. Lao has a lot of power but its so ez 2 repel/slay that it doesn't matter.

Also i wanna add the i hated farming his horn for his ls i dont know anyone here who has freedom unite so i had do everything by myself so i hated farming to get his horn because its so boring and i have had times where i broke the horn but didn't get the horn and instead of 3 fights i had to face him 4 TIMES AND I THINK EVEN MORE ON THE HIGHER RANKS e_o

Yep that was the worse/most boring and tedious thing bout lao is that it takes FOREVER for it 2 reach its final destination to have one last stand against it and on top of that, if u didn't get the material u needed u have 2 go through that boring exp again! -_-# lao is THE definition of boring lol.

You should see Raviente in Monster Hunter Frontier for a truly massive monster (it's roar is on a completely different level, requiring a new level of Earplugs to block it, high grade can't).
