RIP Miku. Her long, 220+ hour hunting career came to a tragic end tonight, after a random system freeze during a save erased her from existence. She leaves behind a palico at her former home in Pokke Village, and a massive unpaid bar tab at the Tanzinya Bar & Grill ("That damn deadbeat, nya" - owner). Services will be held at the summit of the volcano, where the 3DS will be ritually incinerated.

    Crisis somewhat averted, turns out I had a backup from Powersaves. Lost about 3 days worth of progress, though. Had to regrind the gem for my Dios Katana+ but that only took 2 tries. Keep backups, guys! I really wish games would save to SD card like PSP so I can just pull them off and throw them on my Dropbox for situations like this.

    You could very easily back your saves on Wii too. I miss it. Or at least provide a cloud service to back up our saves periodically. Theres some data that should be immortalized, because some content can actually never be replaced!
