Uhh...I don't repair systems single-handedly.. Try looking up online for tips.. When I had a purple 3DS both the L & R buttons wouldn't work.

I know how to fix that, just blow between the freaks for the L and R button. Dirt tends to get in those lil freaks.

I don't think there was any dirt in the buttons. So the one thing left was replacement, that's when I had a Black 3DS(regular sized), sadly it didn't last long because of the battery dying out quickly. So one last this is Getting a Special edition 3DSXL.

I did. But when I got the Black 3DS, the battery immediately blinks red and shuts off but goes back to blue upon shutdown. And when I turn it back on...it's all there is..2 black screens.

It won't hold a charge anymore. Either that, or the battery just quits and dies. Then youd need a replacement battery. I think mine is close. Had it for almost 3 years now.
