Just started playing MH3U... Wow this is a lot to take in. So when would be a good time for a beginner to go online? Just killed the first Great Jaggi, for reference.

    my advice would be to get a good weapon and armor if u r a blademaster hav a weapon with green sharpness and armor that boost any element of ur choice my sister got her game 2months ago and she learned the hard way when she didnt heed my advice

    i went online right after i finished making the great jaggi armor. it's one of the better beginner sets and as long as you play smart and try no to cart (faint), you'd be ok in my book. anyone who expects HR 1's to be amazing is stupid. take time to learn the monsters, find what weapon works best fo you, and enjoy hunting :D
